Virgin supports 'Until The Sun Comes Up'

The record is introduced by Nelly and Abhishek, who highlight the plight faced by those without electricity. The video however, is shot in Tanzania – an area already benefiting from the power of solar lighting – the perfect setting to educate people on how they can help provide solar lighting for others too.

After partnering with Solar Aid (an international NGO that has the goal of eliminating the kerosene lamp from Africa by the year 2020) I distributed over 300 solar lights to school-age children in the small rural township of Shungubweni, in Tanzania. These lights will help the students of Shungubweni Secondary School study for an extra 375,000 hours, and save their families $60,000 per light as they will no longer needed to buy kerosene or candles.

RAGHAV TO SING IN MORE BOLLYWOOD FILMS FOR AR RAHMAN

Singer Raghav to sing in a Hollywood film for A R Rahman

A R Rahman chose Raghav to sing the popular Ishq Shava number from Jab Tak Hai Jaan

After working together in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, singer Raghav has been handpicked by A R Rahman for his upcoming untitled Hollywood film. The Mozart of Madras chose the crooner to sing the popular Ishq Shava number from Yash Chopra’s final film.Speaking about the project for which Rahman is slated to provide the background score, the R&B singer says, “It’s a surreal feeling to work with him. He was the one who thought I’d do justice to the film. He’s very spontaneous and I feel lucky to be associated with the maestro.”Rahman, who is known for giving a break to unknown talent, met the Canada-based singer for the first time when the latter visited him in Dubai. “I went to meet Rahman sir in his studio there. At that point, he was looking for someone to sing this catchy track and he wanted a different voice. I was hoping to have a cup of coffee with him but I ended up singing for Shah Rukh Khan in my debut Hindi film!”

Talking about his future projects, the singer says, “I’m in talks with some filmmakers here at the moment though I feel that the concept of copyright is a bit skewed here. People assume copyright means the right to copy others! I never compromise on artistic integrity no matter what, so the plan is to do good work.”
